When someone asks whether ezCyber can take over a screen
Screen control: Splashtop Business integration, ScreenConnect partner wanted
ezCyber does not build screen control of its own, and the reason has not changed. A Splashtop Business integration is built in: one Enable card under Integrations, no credentials and no API key. On a device running the Splashtop streamer, the Actions menu gets a Splashtop row that opens the session in your own Splashtop Business app. ezCyber is looking for a ScreenConnect partner to build the same one-click launch.
What you will have
- A straight answer for the buyer or the technician who asks whether ezCyber builds screen control: it does not, and that is a choice.
- Splashtop Business one click from the device page, on the app and the login your technicians already have, at no extra Splashtop cost.
- Everything else about the device still in one place: the live PowerShell or CMD terminal, saved scripts, one-click actions, patching, inventory, and the Get Support tray door.
Why it works this way
We could build a web control agent of our own, or bundle a third-party RMM to get one.
Either would be less efficient than the tools built for that one job, and it would raise the price for every customer whether they used it or not.
Splashtop and ScreenConnect do that one job and do it well, they are priced on their own, and most shops that need screen control already run one of them.
So ezCyber does not build one, and opens the tool you already run instead.
The Splashtop Business integration carries no credentials, no API key and no extra Splashtop cost, because it hands the session to the app on the technician's own desktop.
ScreenConnect has nothing equivalent yet, and ezCyber is looking for a ScreenConnect partner to build the same one-click launch.
Steps
Turn on the Splashtop Business card under Integrations.
The card takes one click on Enable. There are no credentials to paste, no API key to generate, and nothing to set per technician.
Let the agent report the streamer.
The ezCyber agent reads the Splashtop streamer's state at every check-in. A device then shows whether Splashtop is installed and active, without anyone going to look.
Open Actions > Splashtop on the device.
The row launches your own installed, signed-in Splashtop Business app straight into a session with that device. It uses the Splashtop login the desktop app already holds, so there is nothing to sign in to a second time. A device without the streamer shows no row at all.
Read the note if nothing opened.
Every click leaves the same note: if Splashtop Business did not open, install the Splashtop Business app and sign in. The note carries the download link and a Try again.
Running ScreenConnect? Open it the way you do today.
There is no ScreenConnect launch inside ezCyber yet. ezCyber is looking for a ScreenConnect partner to build the same one-click launch, and until one exists ScreenConnect stays a tool you open yourself.
The pages behind each click
If it did not work
- Looking for a screen-sharing viewer inside ezCyber? There is not one, and no setting turns one on. The Splashtop row opens Splashtop's own app on your own Splashtop account.
- No Splashtop row on the device? The device is not running the Splashtop streamer, or the Splashtop Business card is still off. Install the streamer, or turn the card on.
- Nothing happened when you clicked it? Install the Splashtop Business app on the technician's desktop, sign in, and use Try again.
- Need to see a machine that runs neither tool? Install one on that machine first. ezCyber cannot open a session where nothing is listening.
- Told by a competitor that a bundled screen tool is table stakes? Ask what it costs every customer who never opens it.
